What the Heck is a BeeBopaLoo?
"Be-Bop-A-Lula" is a rockabilly song first recorded in 1956 by Gene Vincent and His Blue Caps. As stated by the credited lyric writer Bill "Sheriff Tex" Davis, "I come in dead drunk and stumble over the bed. And me and Don Graves were looking at this bloody book; it was called Little Lulu. And I said, "Hell, man, it's 'Be-Bop-a-Lulu.' And he said, 'Yeah, man, swinging.' And we wrote this song." "Be-Bop-A-Lula" has been covered by numerous and varied artists and is considered by many as the most important song in the world of Rockabilly.
BeeBopaLoo is a tribute to those early days of Rockabilly and the style, vibe, and that edgy elegance that has endured for over 60 years. Vintage Style Dresses from the 40's and 50's
The women who lived in the 1940's and 1950's had a certain strength through their feminity. They exuded a subtle sex appeal that didn't attempt to "show it all" like you see in today's fashion world. Instead they created a sexiness in the parts that you cannot see through strong lines, layering, pleats, and bold and colorful prints. Our collection of dresses which are styled from this time period encapsulate the times where women were proud to be women and didn't care about trying to make it in a "Man's World."
Vintage Inspired Stockings and Tights
Sexiness can exisit without baring it all. Sometimes, covering parts of your body in "just the right way" multiplies your sex appeal tenfold,

Vintage 1950's Inspired Corsets
The hourglass figures are probably what most people remember the most from 1940, 1950, and 1960's fashion. These "bombshell" women achieved their special look with the help of corsets. A little sacrifice in comfort paid dividends the whistles they would happily receive.
1940's and 1950's Petticoat Designs
No 1950's dress would be complete without a giant, pouffy petticoat underneath. While not extremely practical for most occassions, petticoats complemented the designs of the time and made a woman look like a movie star.
